Sincerest Apologies

My deepest, sincerest apologies to everyone! The month of May has been a crazy one for me. It has turned from "Study Abroad" to "Study Always All The Time." The last bit of travelling I did was a few weeks ago to Nice, France, then I went to Venice the weekend before classes ended. They were the most interesting trips yet, and I cant wait to write about them! (After finals. Will probably be a post-repatriotising post.) But after that, the traveling dried up, and was replaced with marketing, corporate finance, and business strategy.

I am working really really hard on studying for finals. I have never been a "good test-taker," and have been known to neurotically study like crazy, then blank on the test. Or worse, the test asks about the one single thing I didn't have time to study, or just briefly glossed over. I push myself as best I can though, because I don't want to let anyone down. My usual study methods include re-reading the entire textbook once or twice, transcribing my class and textbook notes either to my computer or another notebook, writing about 150+ notecards, and taking every mock exam and set of practice questions I can. Naturally, this takes a long time.

The most nerve-wracking thing about this year, though, is that the exams are incredibly short, less than twenty questions administered in an hour, and they account for about 60-90 percent of my final grade. I dont know if there is any kind of curve, either. Yeah. It's rough. But I got this! I hope.

On a happier yet equally sad note, I have less than one week left in Milano. I said my goodbyes to the city yesterday, after I discovered there was a hilariously ironic (and obscene) sculpture in front of the stock exchange building, and just had to go see it in person. After my finals are over on the 27th, I take one last Italy trip with my friends to Cinque Terre! In true whirlwind fashion, we get back on the 30th and I fly home on May 31st, where I will promptly eat a jar of peanut butter and sleep for two days. Upon waking, I will write, bombard facebook with photos, drink cuban cafe con leche instead of Italian espresso, and once again valiantly attempt to adjust.

Drop me a note if you like! I miss everyone dearly and will be home before you know it. The last four chapters of corporate finance await!
